Extension project for a single-family house in the district of Chorrillos. The original house of two floors needs a new space to centralize the family's study and leisure activities. This was designed under the premises of privacy and security, but, generating a shy and hermetic relationship with the park in front of it. To reverse this situation, the extension of the third floor is proposed as a spatial gyroscope with a good opening towards the park. Two volumes will create a multipurpose room, a kitchenette, a screening room and a library. The hierarchy between the spaces is marked with different ceiling heights, which also serves to control natural light and include a passive ventilation system.
